25 Weeks

25 Weeks

Cannot believe we are already at 25 weeks.  In just 15 short weeks we will meet our little man and I could not be more excited.

This week was a little tougher than the rest.  I had my 24 week appointment on Wednesday where they determined that my blood pressure was higher than they would like it to be.  I have always had issues with this when I get to the doctor.  My blood pressure is very good outside of the doctors office but the minute I get in there I have anxiety that sends it through the roof.  They took lots of blood work and had me do a 24 hour urine collection (sorry Jacklyn... I am trying not to get medical here).  I returned on Friday after monitoring my blood pressure at home for the previous couple of days.  My at home readings are awesome and exactly where they should be, but yet again Friday in the doctors office it was elevated again.  More blood work was drawn and I am to go back on Monday.  I truly believe that this is a case of "white coat syndrome".  Our sweet baby boy is measuring right on track and his heart rate is right where it should be.  While I am willing to do whatever it takes for a healthy baby and delivery, my biggest fear is bed rest.  On Friday while driving to the doctor it hit me like a ton of bricks that worrying just shows a lack of faith in God.  My full faith is in Him and I know that on Monday my test results will be fine and that we will be able to carry on as normal.  Like Robbie said "if the doctors would just leave you alone you would be just fine" :).

This led to a very quiet weekend around the Ervin house.  I spent alot of time watching movies and relaxing... and not letting the construction zone that our house has turned into affect me... which if you know me, is easier said than done!

The nursery has made great progress.  We have had the floors refinished and the next step is to have it painted.  Here are before and after pictures of the floor.  They did an amazing job!

We are so lucky to have such amazing family and friends.  Pray for my nerves and my appointment on Monday... I am certain in God and His protection!
